Woman and Marriage

The Value of a Woman and the Essence of Marriage

A woman is a unique creation with her own personality, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. She deserves to be treated with gentleness, sincerity, and respect. Marriage is a continuous journey that requires mutual loyalty in both good times and bad. It is like a flower; it needs daily care, attention, and effort from both partners to survive. If a husband neglects and fails to value his wife, she feels broken, which often leads to the breakdown of the marriage.

The Societal Stigma of Separation and Divorce

When a marriage ends, society frequently views separated or divorced women negatively, as if they are lacking or deficient. This harmful perception stems from deep-rooted misconceptions and wrong beliefs, such as: A divorced woman is bad and worthless; if she could not stay with her first partner, she will fail with a second one; a woman cannot support herself without a partner; a woman is a source of shame; a woman is merely an object of desire or a machine for having children. In reality, the opposite is true. Divorce is a complex issue involving deep psychological, health, emotional, and social factors that must be understood.

Preparation Before Marriage

Before entering into marriage, individuals must be prepared psychologically, physically, economically, and emotionally. Neglecting these foundations causes instability. A divorced woman is not automatically a bad person; sometimes separation is much healthier than staying together. If a partner cannot provide peace, trust, love, respect, financial support, and mutual understanding, the true purpose of the marriage disappears.

Two Types of Separation in Modern Society

The First Type is Emotional Divorce. The couple lives under the same roof but lacks any communication, affection, or love. They simply share a house to manage food, expenses, and children. In this common scenario, both the partners and the children become emotional victims of a fragmented home.

The Second Type is Physical Separation. The couple remains married on paper but lives apart. This allows the children to see both parents and can be a healthier solution if living together causes too much damage. However, its downside includes a lingering sense of failure, emotional coldness, or resentment, especially if one partner tries to move on to a new relationship. Psychologically, people need time to heal before starting a new relationship. Economically, it introduces major financial hurdles.

A Reflective Question on Financial Independence

If you, as a woman, do not have financial independence or economic security, would you still choose to separate? Would you stay and sacrifice your happiness for your children, or would you work to build a self-sufficient, peaceful, and happy life? Ultimately, the choice rests in your hands.

Social Reasons for Marital Breakdown

Many common factors trigger separation, including: betrayal and infidelity; excessive interference from extended family members; listening too much to outside opinions; unmet needs and conflicting expectations; disputes over material demands like salons, gold, and expensive clothing. Verbal conflicts between families often destroy relationships. These expectations should be discussed openly before marriage to avoid painful surprises. Life means standing by your partner through thick and thin, and even if separation happens, mutual respect should always remain.

The Destructive Impact of Comparison

A major issue occurs when a husband compares his wife to women he sees outside the home. Constant criticism—such as saying she smells like cooking food, is no longer beautiful, or has changed since the beginning—creates severe emotional distance and breaks her spirit. A woman managing a household and raising children cannot always wear makeup, style her hair perfectly, or wear fashionable clothes. The home environment is different from a workplace. It is entirely normal for a house to be messy or smell like food when children are present. Balance is key. Cleanliness, home organization, self-care, and family care are all important, but every person also needs private time for themselves. When an individual finds their value within themselves, life becomes spacious enough for everyone to live with dignity and peace.
